The Penthouse

Arriving late at night isn’t the optimal choice for this location. Yes, there’s a light switch next to the entrance to turn on lights in the first short hallway, however, you better have your phone out with the flashlight turned on when you turn the corner. It’s pitch black and there’s no light switch. That’s probably why people complain that it’s hard to find. Also, the lockbox outside for the outside door is not in an obvious place - again, you’re going to need your flashlight. The rental was VERY warm upon our arrival. Someone had set the thermostat to “Off” for the AC, but “On” for the fan. So the unit was just circulating hot air - it had been quite warm in Paso Robles that day and the unit is on the second floor. There’s a note above the thermostat that says, “Don’t put AC below 72 or the coils may freeze up and shut down the unit.” Do it took an extended period of time to get it cooled down. Also, there’s no window in one of the bedrooms, so there’s no way for that hot air to escape. The second bedroom only has a skylight that opens. The location of this place is perfect and we were there on the weekend so parking wasn’t an issue at all (none of the businesses in the building were open while we were there). But when I opened the cabinet to get a glass out, almost every glass had fingerprints all over them, almost like someone with lotion on their hands had put them away (there’s no dishwasher). Then when we were ready to leave and I read the “Departure Instructions” I was shocked that they tell you to wash all of the dishes and utensils you’ve used. No wonder the dishes were all spotted and had fingerprints all over them! I would NEVER have the people renting the unit wash the dishes for the next guests to use! They could be careless about washing the dishes thoroughly, they could be sick,

This roomy suite is perfect for two couples. The location - just a block away from the center of town - is fantastic.

This was a really fun to stay. It was huge - bigger than we’d anticipated. The location was perfect- just a very quick walk into town. It just had a cool vibe to it. The couch (which we didn’t spend too much time on since there was a lot of wine to explore) was extremely comfortable. There were a lot of ceiling fans to keep the air circulating too. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was fantastic. We like staying close to the downtown park area. We couldn’t ask for more. We parked on Thursday and didn’t move our car until Sunday when we left. The place was clean and cozy. The key is in a lock box right where you park. It’s located in a building that has small businesses down stairs which seemed a little odd, but we never reallly saw anyone. The apartment was great. Very clean and plenty of room for four people. There’s an amazing Italian restaurant next door. We will definitely stay there again.

Fun place, great location

The space was wonderful - located close to the town square and TONS of restaurants and shops, and was as big as our house! Lots of room to spread out in, 3 eating areas, two bedrooms, full kitchen, 3 sitting areas, washer/dryer. Very nicely equipped. Very clean and quiet. Very comfortable. Recommend!

It was clean and effecient. Close to town. A bit confusing going down the dark hallway and finding the golden door that led up to the penthouse. But all in all great stay.

Booking this unit was very easy to navigate. Marcel was extremely helpful and accommodating. Very cute and quaint accommodations. The unit was larger than expected. That was a pleasant surprise. It was very clean and had all the needed items for a relaxing stay. It's close to downtown and allowed for an easy walk to restaurants and bars. This unit is located on the upstairs level of an office building, but it was extremely quiet. Great off-street parking provided. Only recommendation I would have is better lighting in the bathroom. I would highly recommend this property for your next visit to Paso Robles.

We enjoyed our stay, the location is great! Easy walking to the shops and restaurants, and the unit is nice and clean. Can't wait to go back and stay longer.
