Description

The J's Nest Deluxe is the perfect property for family reunions and friends wine tasting get away! The main house has four bedroom plus Den/Game Room and three baths, this 3,000 square foot single-level home offers panoramic views overlooking the South end of Lake San Antonio. The great room (living room, dining and large kitchen) boasting forever views. With a huge rock gas fireplace and the dining room, and the kitchen showcases a large island offering additional eating at the counter. The kitchen is amazing and has all the kitchenware and tools for the chef. Also included is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. DirecTV is offered, and the home has access to internet WIFI. BBQ station for cooking and entertainment, and plenty of outdoor seating. The lounging furniture is perfect to relax and have a beverage while watching sunsets or viewing the lake. Once outside you can play some Cornhole, Ladder Toss, Ring Toss, Basketball and Darts. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit for a dip in the Hot Tub. You can also enjoy the theater/game room with flat screen TV, Blu-Ray/DVD player, and plenty of movies and games for everyone to enjoy. ~~~~~~~~~~The J's Nest Cottage is 100 feet from the main house. It is comfy, private and has a beautiful deck. Enjoy the views with your morning coffee or a glass of wine and the stars at night! Every detail of this cottage will make your stay enjoyable. A full kitchen with all the amenities to prepare a great meal to go with that BBQ on the deck. If you had a long day of hiking or playing on the lake, each room is comfortable and cozy and has its own TV. If it’s the big game you want to watch, team up in the living room and watch the large TV together. ~~~~~~~~~~~ The J's Nest Deluxe has private parking and room to park your boat. Everyone can gather on the patio with a favorite beverage, enjoy the sunset views, dancing hawks, maybe a bald eagle or owls soaring over the canyon. Make sure to keep your eyes open for the myriad wildlife, including wild turkeys, deer, birds, rabbits, squirrels and other animals, who love to visit. Located 20 minute's to the Far Out Wineries. 30 minutes to downtown Paso Robles shopping, and restaurants. ***Five Star Coffee Program- We start your stay with a supply of coffee, filters, coffee pods, cream, and sugar for our provided drip and pod-style coffee makers onsite at every home. ***Wi-Fi and/or power outages can occur periodically in our small town and rural settings, over which we have no control ***We continue to implement our already rigorous cleaning protocols along with an added layer of disinfecting, as we finalize for each guest arrival.*** **Dogs are only allowed with an additional $25/night per dog fee. This was our 3rd time visiting the J’s Nest because of how much we love it! Booking with PRVR is a breeze and their staff is always more than accommodating. However, because we love it so much, there are things we would like to bring to attention- 1) when we arrived, granted, it was 2:45 so 15 min before check in, there were occupants in the house (we think the owners?). We had to wait for them to clean, prep, and exit in a hurry. This meant perhaps things were not cleaned to what they normally are when we arrive. The floors were clearly in need of a vacuum and mop, there were also little gnats throughout the home along with a few other various bugs we encountered while sitting at the table and couch. None of these were a terrible inconvenience (although the bugs were very annoying) but, as I said, we adore this property and because we know and have experienced the potential it has, we needed to make management aware asap. - Sarah M., Santa Maria, CA

A Family Christmas Gathering

Our family (of 20 people) needed a place to gather between Christmas and New Year's. Some of us came from other parts of California, some from only 10 minutes from the Vrbo, and one couple from out of state. Finding "The J's Nest" was a marvelous provision! Although only 15 of us stayed on the property, one of our daughters, her husband, and their 3 sons (one a newborn), were able to commute each day to join us while allowing the infant and mother to be at home at night. The property was spectacular -- clean. fully furnished, roomy, and even had one room filled with toys for the 8 grandchildren to enjoy! The large patio provided plenty of room for the little ones to play and the propane fired BBQ worked well for hamburgers on our first night. Comprised of two separate homes, there was more than enough room. And each bedroom AND the living room had a TV. The larger home (in the picture) had five bedrooms and 3 (or 4?) bathrooms. The smaller place was 3 BR and 2 BA. Each one had a kitchen with all the appliances and place settings necessary for an even larger group. Tucked away in the hills, we enjoyed peace and quiet with a nice view of Lake San Antonio. I highly recommend "The J's Nest" for anyone seeking a larger place! - John T., Prescott Valley, AZ

Gorgeous Property, Amazing View, Fantastic Stay

We had an amazing experience at the J's Nest. You have no neighbors so noise isn't an issue and the most stunning view to wake up to. They have games like corn-hole, ping pong, paddle ball, ring toss, jenga, etc along with lots of lounge areas. The main house is large with lots of open space and the cottage down the driveway is perfect for the additional couples. The house was clean with plenty of towels for both showers and hot tub. Everything was in working order and the management company was very responsive. My only callout is that Apple Maps takes you down the street about a mile so make sure to check your location ahead of time. The turnoff off the road is a small road that's difficult to notice at night that winds up a narrow, rugged driveway up to the house. Great spot for multi-generational Thanksgiving

We absolutely loved the J's Nest Deluxe

We booked the J's Nest for a family get together including 10 adults plus many kids. We are spread out all over the US so this was a great opportunity for us to get together after a long time. We had planned lots of excursions to nearby places, fireworks in paso robles, a pismo beach visit and vineries. However once we got there we loved the place so much we just stayed there for 3 days which helped us all catch up and for cousins to play together. There are many indoor and outdoor activities for the adults and kids and the nearby Oak Hill Market is well stocked making feeding everyone easy. We loved it. - Philip H., San Francisco, CA

Friends Reunion

This was the perfect place for our friends reunion of fifteen people. Every room is very nicely furnished and patio, overlooking a beautiful bucolic valley, was perfect for entertaining. Excellent Family Trip

We really enjoyed staying at J's nest. It was great for our thanksgiving family get together. The hosts were extremely responsive and answered all our questions. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. I especially loved the little half-half packets in the fridge. Made my day! They also had toys and entertainment for kids of all ages. Great stay

The J's Nest was perfect for our group. Fit us perfectly. Was fully stocked. The only two negatives was that there appeared to be a surround sound/speaker system that there were no instructions for. If there is a house sound system, it would be nice to be able to plug into it. And there should be a set of separate towels to use for the hot tub vs having to use the bath towels and now you have no towels to use for when you shower unless you wash them. I don't go on vacation to do laundry. Oh and there was no regular spatula. Only the big metal kind for the grill. No plastic spatula for just making eggs or grilled cheeses. But other than those couple things, it was great. Super comfy beds in the primary bedrooms. Oh and get a bigger sign off the road and maybe add some lighting. We leave lots of extra towels for those using the spa, but appreciate the heads up and have placed pool towels for after spa usage. We appreciate the current signage and lighting, but do encourage guests to our rural properties to arrive before dark whenever possible, just to simplify!
