We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely little cottage. The staff at Paso Robles Vacation Rentals were great to work with, and very responsive. Steve was a great host as well. The cottage is perfect for two couples, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is furnished very nicely and has been remodeled recently. Everything is new and nice, and the beds were very comfortable. It's also a great location, and within easy walking distance to downtown. it really is a great porch !!
the Acorn Cottage is a small, but well designed 2 bed / 2 bath home, perfect for 2 couples. Only a 7 block walk to the downtown park and all the restaurants. The owner/Steve is very friendly and attentive, and knows the local restaurants and wineries inside and out. Ask his advice ! The property has a lovely side yard with a weber gas grill and a picnic table / umbrella next to it. Our favorite feature was the porch. every other night we would make up our own charcuterie board and open a bottle of wine and just enjoy the sunset and wave to the occasional neighbors who would walk by with their dogs.
We were not the typical guest as we stayed for 6 weeks and really loved it and plan to do so again next year !!

The Acorn Cottage was a perfect fit for the four of us for our weekend. It was very clean and well organized. We sat on the porch (a bit cozy for 4 people) each evening, we even saw deer walk by. Beautiful rental. As described in rental ad. Single story except for front porch steps. Rooms large and well-lit. Comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. Everything spotless. Extremely convenient to Downtown Paso - walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Had a small issue, but owner responded quickly and was very kind. Note that there is only on street parking outside of front door and a short distance to maneuver on gravel to front walk. A Place From Which to Visit Paso Robles Restaurants and Wineries
The house is small, perfect for a couple or a couple with a child. When we arrived, it was immaculate inside and out. There is only 1 bathroom. We were greeted by the host who was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on restaurants and wineries to visit and showing us how the various devices in the house (heater, TV, blue tooth, etc.) functioned. The kitchen was very complete and meal preparation was easy. The house is centrally located, close the the downtown restaurants and with easy access to wineries on the east and west sides of Paso Robles. We were served delicious lunches to go with our wine tastings at Calcuerous Vineyards and Niner Vineyards, and for just pure tasting pleasure, enjoyed Tablas Creek and Justin. All require reservations in advance. There are many fine restaurants from which to chose, but our favorites in order of preference were Somm's Kitchen, Thomas Hill Organics, Il Cortile, and Cello Restaurant and Bar. the house is just as pictured. The neighborhood was lovely, safe and quiet and everything was quite easy. We chose it because as a group of 4 friends, we had 2 bathrooms which was key. the front patio was really great to enjoy the sun and fresh air in between our wine tastings. We were close enough to downtown and all the restaurants but mostly we used ride shares to get there and home. If you are visiting Paso, this is a great place to stay. It's very easy to stay at Quercus Cottage. A/C works great in Paso heat. Porch is great for morning coffee, too hot for evening wine. Across from school makes it nice when school is not in session. Perfect Couples Weekend
I recently stayed in this cottage for a couples wine tasting weekend. I cannot say enough good things about this place! It has been remodeled and redecorated with two couples in mind. The two bedrooms are exactly comparable. They both have large beds, each with its own bathroom attached. The kitchen is very well-appointed and the items are barely used, so it is easy to cook in. We also took advantage of walking to town for dinner one evening. It is under a mile and very pleasant! We were lucky enough to be at the house on the night of the SpaceX satellite launch. Wonderful, relaxing cottage!
From the first moment we entered the cottage, we felt comfortable! Furniture is inviting, kitchen well equipped (although we had trouble with the convection oven because we ate in most of the time). Beds VERY comfortable. Everything you would need was provided for our stay. Porch a plus - nice to sit in sun & have coffee (weather permitting). Hopefully we can return soon. Even the dog was happy. This is a perfect place for two couples. We took some friends up to visit the fair and attend a concert and it was within walking distance, which is great because parking can be a nightmare at the fair. There are two well appointed bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a kitchen and living area. The weather was wonderful, so we were able to sit out on the porch and talk. Our first stay in Paso Robles. Our original rental fell through on our way there. A gas leak prevented us from using that one. The owners of this home were so nice to allow us last minute rental.
The owner was very nice and informative. The place is well appointed with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms and kitchen are clean with plenty of towels. The back bathroom could use a window covering. We tossed a towel over the shower door for privacy.
We have stayed in VRBO an Air BNB around the country. This one compares very well to others we have rented.

A friend and I rented this cottage to spend a few days catching up and relaxing. This is the perfect place to do both. We were able to map out a day in wine country, have dinner downtown, then come back to chill out in the comfortable accommodations. The home is very clean with everything you need. I stay in rentals very often and one thing that is always a risk is the bed comfort, not here, these beds are extremely comfortable, with very nice bedding perfect for a good nights sleep. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. Be sure to walk around the corner and visit the birdhouse fence, so cute! beautiful cottage, great for two couples or a family
We had a great time at the cottage. We were two couples and it was nice to have separate bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. We also liked that the kitchen was stocked with oil and spices, made it easier to cook. The BBQ is great, it is natural gas so no worries about running out of fuel. One thing that would make the check in smoother is to either have an electronic key card or leave one key somewhere...the reception can be patchy which makes it hard to get in touch. Still everything worked out in the end and we really enjoyed our time in Paso Robles. The location is also very convenient for walking to downtown! - Andreea S., Encino, CA

This was our second trip to Paso, but brought some long time friends for their first visit. We loved the comfortable at home feeling of our stay here. It was very easy to get to wineries in all directions and a nice walk to the downtown area. We enjoyed to complimentary bottle of wine and were surprised to here for Pioneer Days. We loved being able to come back after a day of wine tasting and make a nice dinner to enjoy together.

A very pleasant little two bedroom cottage (both with king-sized beds) in a nice neighborhood. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. It was perfect for our two couple get-away. It is about ten short blocks to town. We walked both nights after wine tasting in town. The landlord was very pleasant and friendly - very easy to get along with. Quercus Acorn Cottage
We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. The home is in fine shape. The only item that was a bit rough was the kitchen. It's really quite fine if you're not into serious cooking. The convection oven cooks one item at a time and the supplies are a bit sparse. For those who plan to do more limited cooking, the facility is perfect. The second item is that we left a few weeks ago, the place was in fine shape to the best of our knowledge, but we did not receive a refund on our damage deposit. Definitely the Best Porch in Town
This house is perfect for two couples. We arrived and was greeted by one of the owners with a bottle of wine. We were shocked that this was a rental house. The craftsmanship of the interior amenities are beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with the necessary utensils to make dinner and the bathrooms are clean and nicely decorated. The beds are nice and comfy. The owner mapped out some great wineries to try and were to get some good wine that was not overpriced. He told us about his wife's restaurant so, we thought we would give it a try and we are so glad we did. The food was amazing. Four of us rented this lovely craftsman home for a few days of wine-tasting in Paso. The home was beautifully renovated and furnished, very clean, well-stocked with the necessities, and was perfect for two couples. A short, pleasant walk to downtown restaurants and shops. I have rented from Dawn and Steve before, and both times have been great experiences. Steve gave us lots of good insider tips for dining and tasting, and our stay couldn't have been better. What a great rental. Has all the amenities, kitchen pots/pans, etc that you would need. I loved having the windows open for the nice breeze in the early am and at night. Super cute and loved our stay.

The Quercus Acorn Cottage was roomy and clean. If you are planning on doing your own cooking while staying here, the cottage does not have an oven in the kitchen, only an oven/microwave combo. If you are a late sleeper, don't sleep in the back bedroom, it is VERY sunny & bright! However very good if you are an early riser. We had a minor delay in getting into our rental as the house was not ready for our arrival. After contacting the owner, we received immediate attention and the house was made ready in an hour.

House was clean and well kept. Our only issue was that we couldn't figure out how to use the convection oven. Apparently there are instructions in the notebook that we didn't bother reading.
