This beautifully furnished and playfully decorated home invites you in with wicker rockers on the front porch and welcoming, warm colors throughout. You will find it difficult to choose between lazing in the sun room, lounging by the pool, or napping in one of the full size hammocks overlooking the pool. The pool is normally warm enough to enjoy May through October. Those looking for high energy play can take advantage of the full-size half basketball court. . Experience the unique outdoor bedroom covered with honeysuckle, with both the front porch and pool area in view. Sunset views from the pool area and hot tub porch are stunning! Advantages include a dining area that seats 12, wood-burning stoves for additional warmth and atmosphere, extra sleeping areas, and lots of room in which to spread out. The master bedroom bathroom features a soaking bath tub with sunset view. Bedrooms upstairs share a large bathroom and library area. Additional sleeping spaces included the sun room with two twins and downstairs entertainment room with queen and single twin bed, upstairs loft with queen bed. What a surprise!
I was a bit skeptical before booking to be honest, because in the pictures the home while looking quaint also looks dated. I basically booked the property because the location was great and the pool looked perfect for our 6 teenagers. However when we pulled up and walked through the gate into the shaded grassy lawn I grew more hopeful that I had made the right choice. Mind you I planned this entire vacation for 12 people so the pressure was on. We all like to stay in nice places especially on vacation. I hurried to unlock the door ahead of everyone so I could brace myself for the groans if they were gonna happen...from the moment everyone got on the porch and through the door there were literal yelps and gasps from everyone even the teenagers on how cool the house was. Whew!! EVERYONE loved it!
I will say it is unlike any place I’ve rented before. I usually gravitate towards new or newly renovated...this is the opposite. But in the best way. It’s a cool old farmhouse with cool antiques throughout. They’ve done such an outstanding job with the ambiance in this house...there are little lamps everywhere which make it so cozy...and little seating areas and nooks for curling up and reading or napping or just chilling out. And the pictures of the backyard in no way shape or form do it justice. The pool and hammocks and table setup are just so great! Every night we turned on the outdoor speakers, turned off all the lights and watched the stars from the pool. The best.
My only negative thing to say at all is that the green carpet needs to go lol. And the AC has to run constantly to keep the upstairs cool. However we were there during a heatwave in July.
This house is such a hidden gem. If you’re on the fence reading hundreds of reviews of houses in the area like I did...just do it. Just book this one. Wonderful hosts of a great property in a fantastic location

My family found Judy Creek a great place to visit and relax. The house is in a secluded area in the middle of vineyards, horse ranches and cattle country. The house is well equipped with plenty of space and accomodations to make the whole family comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of lawn and pool space for the kids to have a great time playing in the yard. Judy was an incredible host! She made our group feel extremely welcomed and the location couldn't have been more perfect for a relaxing stay in the country while also quick uber into town. As other guests mentioned it's homey and lived in but that was our favorite part as it truly felt like home vs a sterile hotel.

Gorgeous Girl Trip!
Delighted to share the amazing experience we had staying at Judy Creek. We were 10 women in our 30's celebrating my bachelorette. There was more than enough room, the rooms were all charming. We loved sipping morning coffee together on the wooden porch listening to the birds and trees. The property is surrounded by wineries and the beach is a good drive away. I definitely would recommend staying and enjoying the pool and laying in the hammocks at Judy Creek. One of my guests left her smart watch by the pool and it was graciously mailed back to her. Perfect Girls Weekend!
Everything about Judy Creek was perfect, starting with the very minute we arrived when Judy greeted us and gave us a tour of the place, pointing out where things were located and all the things that would help make our weekend extra fun.
The house was perfect for our group of girls. Inside, we had a clean home, comfy beds, very well stocked kitchen, and plenty of seating. Fantastic vacation home
This is probably my favorite vacation home I've stayed in. We very comfortably slept 9 - there's lots of bed space, and it's well laid out. The kitchen is well-supplied with pots, pans, baking dishes, etc., and it opens directly onto the expansive dining room table. It's a perfect place for cooking and gathering with friends.
The grounds are beautiful -- hot tub, pool, veranda, hammocks, and lots of flowers in bloom while we were there. And the location provides seclusion and privacy while only being a 10-minute drive to get groceries.

Great Place for Groups!
We spent a birthday weekend with 4 couples touring wineries and laying by the pool! The house works great for 4 couples (all had their own room.) If you had a fifth couple, there would be 2 options . . a queen size (?) bed in a common area upstairs or 2 twin beds in the sun room. Both are nice but lack some privacy. Multi-Family Fun
This was our 2nd stay at Judy Creek. The first was over Thanksgiving last fall. We had such a great time last year, and there was so much room, we arranged this return trip with three other families over the memorial day weekend. We have kids ages 4-11 in the group and they all loved the house, pool, and our hosts Judi and Casey's dog Jasper so much, none of them wanted to leave. Jasper likes to swim with the kids too! One of the Dad's in our group is a gourmet chef, and the kitchen is well equipped for any chef. I was also able to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner on our prior trip, the hardest part was choosing which china to serve it on as Judi has filled this home with her treasures over the years. We are already planning our return trip for the fall harvest season.

I highly recommend this wonderful house. Eleven of us enjoyed celebrating a Cal Poly graduation at this fantastic farmhouse retreat. There was plenty of room and beds for all. The kitchen had everything we needed for a great BBQ. We spent a lot of time out by the pool and in the hot tub. We also saw lots of wildlife: raptors, bunnies, deer and even a coyote in the far pasture. The property seems miles away from civilization, but it's only 12 minutes from Trader Joes! Our group of 12 had wonderful time. The house was the perfect spot for us, with the pool and hot tub, large kitchen to cook family meals, and lots of room. Many TVs throughout the house which I am happy to say we hardly ever used. Very secluded. We enjoyed quite mornings and evenings on the front and back porch. Lots of deer, rabbits, squirrels and cows. DO NOT use direction directions from Google, etc. as it will take you on a convoluted route. Make sure to get directions for the owner. Family 4th!
A group of us stayed at the house for a long 4th of July weekend. There were 10 adults and most of us had an infant or toddler. The house was perfect as the pool is separated by a gate. The large grass area was awesome and the house layout worked perfect that we could separate the kid families from couples without and keep night noise down. It was much hotter on the freeway driving into town than it was at the house. The large trees around the home keep the sun off the house. There is a basketball court and plenty of grass for frisbee or playing catch. (although not level) We had a great time and would definitely come back! We rented this house for some of our out of town wedding guests and were absolutely amazed at everything there was to offer. A Haven for Our Annual Family Reunion
Judy Creek is a perfect balance of getting away and playing tourist wanderer. The ambience is gracious, relaxing, tucked WAY off the beaten path. And yet you can motor off to lovely spots only a 1/2 hour away in any direction. The pool was the center of our family play activity and the well equiped kitchen the hub otherwise. We love Judy Creek. This was our 2nd summer week of heavenly, restful, joyful bliss. The teens and our almost 9 year old (I'm grandma) are in and out of the splendid pool all day long. Linger poolside with the glorious sunsets over the valley hillsides! Be awestruck by the breathtaking night sky and constellation unimpaired by city lights. The day hikes and wanderings to beaches and wineries are such a splendid add on the the main attraction (Judy Creek itself). And, by the way, the kitchen is absolutely fully equipped, Get instructions for handling the recycle and organic leftover before you start preparing meals. And learn how to operate the TV system. If you're looking for a great Paso Robles experience with a rustic, laid-back and beautiful place to stay at, look no more. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children and we all enjoyed it equally. The swimming pool is such a great add in the summer heat whereas the jacuzzi warms you up in the evening when the sun sets... We cooked together, played piano & guitar provided my Judy, the owner. Amazing property!
This is an amazing property full of beauty and comfort. We were about 12 bachelor party celebrants over a weekend in August and had everything we needed to cook, sleep, listen to music, watch meteors, and yak it up with each other as much as we saw fit. It was fairly hot but the pool was nice and the ample fans kept the house comfortable. Peaceful retreat.
Spent a great long weekend here with a party of 10 adults and a toddler. This house was a great place to share food and make some warm memories. The hot tub and pool were such a treat that it was often difficult to leave the house for wine tasting at nearby wineries. There was excellent speakers throughout the house and plenty of kitchen workspace to prep group meals. Overall we had a nice stay at Judy Creek. The property is beautiful and it is a nice retreat. A few things I would recommend improving for future guests:
1. Too many personal items
Although it was a very "homey" feel, there were simply too many personal pictures, knick-knacks, antiques, etc. on the tables and countertops. It's not that the items were offensive, they just simply took up too much room and made things feel very crowded. We had to move a lot of these items so that we had room to put food out, and our own personal decorations and things we wanted on display.
2. Trash can
The trash can in the kitchen is very small and is a bit odd. It is a decorative canister that has been converted into a trash can. It is super cute, but not realistic for a house of 12 people for 3 days. We had to take the trash out at least 2-3x per day.
3. Upstairs shower
The house provides 2 bathrooms, and unfortunately only the downstairs shower worked well. The upstairs shower water pressure was very, very minimal which made it extremely difficult to wash your hair, etc.

An Amazing Escape
When we first saw Judy Creek online, we were pretty amazed with the property but the pictures on the website do not do this property justice. This property is very secluded yet a 15 minute drive from wineries, open yet cozy and warm. It was the perfect location to get away, relax and unwind from the every day routine of life. The home was clean, in good shape, everything worked well. The kitchen was stocked with so many different pots, pans, and kitchenware to create our meals during our stay. We met Casey when we first arrived and he was such a ray of sunshine. So kind, helpful, patient and thorough when it came to showing us around. The pool was always clean (Casey would come every morning at 7am to clean it) and it was probably the highlight of our stay. I would highly recommend this vacation rental. A great family reunion venue
I accommodated my out of town guests who were visiting for my daughter's wedding. It was an amazing location for a large family gathering. All my guests said it was the best vacation they ever had. The distinctive element of this house was all the little nooks and crannies that provided intimate areas for guests to visit. The pool was wonderful, hammocks, an outdoor bed with electricity, hot tub, stars at night, so quiet it hurt our ears. We had a small family gathering of 12 people and met in a central location. This house was spacious and spotless. It had 7 different sleeping areas. The teens loved the basement room with all of the movie choices and the enormous TV. The master bedroom was large with a very comfortable bed. The upstairs bedrooms were attractively decorated. The kitchen had everything we could have needed: two microwaves, two refrigerators, trash compactor, dishwasher and lots of cabinet space. The pool was exceptional and the lounge chairs were very comfortable. The hammocks were relaxing too. In the early mornings, there were bunnies hopping around the yard near the outdoor bedroom which had another queen bed. There was plenty to do around Templeton as well. There was a free concert in the park, shopping, wine tasting, Hearst Castle and long bike rides. Judy Creek is full of love and I would recommend this vacation rental to any family wanting to get away from the city and a busy life to relax and feel at home. - Rebecca K., ,

My ONLY comlaint, and i do believe this has to do with the website and not the owners is that "AC" is listed an #1 amenity and that is not the case. There is also no fitness room. I have no doubt in my mind that this is a website error and not any form of dubiousness from owners.
I have never felt so welcomed at a rental home.

Lovely Getaway Spot
My family spent Thanksgiving weekend here. We had a cold day that was spent inside around a roaring fire with games, wine, and music. We had a warm day that was spent in the yard playing basketball, throwing frisbee, and dipping in the spa and pool. A lovely and quiet place to get away from it all with a group of family or friends or colleagues. Overall, highly recommended. There is a dog and cat around the property. Our family of 8 adults and 3 grandsons ages 3 and 9 month old twins, love spending time together. We felt like Judi did everything to make us feel right at home and enjoyed this very comfortable, well stocked, eclectic home. We did wine tasting, concert at the fair, lounged around the house and pool, and visited Cambria on the coast one day (about 45 minutes away.) Several great wineries were nearby (Stillwater, Pomar Junction and Wild Horse). And of course several restaurants in Templeton we definitely enjoyed. We came here for 4th of July with a big group of friends and everything was fantastic. The owners were extremely accommodating and provided everything we needed. Beautiful Long Weekend
The house was perfect for us and our hostess was extraordinarily friendly and helpful! The teenagers appreciated the basement quarters, and the tweens liked the sleeping arrangements in their own space as well. The rooms were great for the 11 of us, and we also enjoyed the homey kitchen and living area. Although it was too cold for the pool and outside bedroom, the kids did enjoy a quick dip followed by a soak in the hot tub. We also took some morning walks and enjoyed the overall environment outside the house. Location-wise it was far enough from towns to make it feel like a retreat, but close enough to go in to Paso Robles for restaurants, etc. Wine tasting was fun, and there's a nice olive oil tasting place right around the corner.
