This vacation rental was just about perfect if a little large for the 2 of us it was super clean and comfortable with lots of charming detail. I noticed other reviews about the shower- Yes it was small but clean and adequate. Location was fabulous! Had a great view of the area. We took the train up and easily walked over from the Paso Robles "station" and were able explore the charming downtown area on foot. The friendly professional Paso Robles Vacation Rental staff, although we never saw them, were always available and also helpful with a nice list of suggestions for wine tours so we found one that picked us up and dropped us off at the door. This is my third time staying at this property. My BFF and I come to town to enjoy the great wineries and restaurants. The location is so convenient. Once you figure out the parking in downtown its easy to renew your time. My only suggestion is to put a full length mirror in the bedroom. It would make it so much easier for 2 people to get ready faster so you're not waiting for the bathroom mirror. The sleeper sofa is comfortable enough for a couple of nights. - Karen H., San Jose, CA

I rented this apartment for my husbands Birthday weekend, above the cheese shop and we absolutely loved it! Great location and very well kept. I will definitely book this location again when my husband and I return. However I usually go to Paso with my sister and friends so this location will not work since it only allows 2 people to stay. Wonderful loft and location!
We had an amazing stay at the Cheese Cellar's Loft. The loft itself is just as seen in the photos. It was perfect for us. there was one bedroom, a pull out bed, and a big couch, and a nice size kitchen as well. The location was amazing. You can literally walk less than a block to the best restaurants and its minutes from the park where they hold a summer concert series. The best part - you can walk downstairs and purchase some amazing cheese and meats to snack on on your stay! Loft in the middle of Paso Robles
This is a very convenient spot in the middle of the tasting rooms street. Easy walking to everything. I would like more electric outlets (hidden behind the bed in the b-room) and the bathroom is smaller than expected given the size of every other room. But these are only minor complaints. Cons.
The room itself was just ok. Old carpet, paint falling off of ceiling,rodents/birds in attic in bedroom which made it hard to sleep. Had to sleep on the pull out sofa bed. Many stains on the main sofa.
Bathroom shower curtain had mold stains in the toilet. Table was dirty we had to clean table and bathroom

I apologize for the peeling paint--we have a roof leak, which we stopped, and needed a few days to get vendors into the unit, working around guests, to finish the interior details. We will check into the report of stains, as we've not had that previously. We've since treated for pests and replaced shower curtain. We're surprised at the report of additional cleaning needed, as we did prepare for your stay. We will follow up on that. Thanks for your positive ocmments, as well. Excellent stay!
I stayed two nights in February 2021. Right in the middle of town. You could not ask for a better location. This place is street parking only, but I didn’t find it a problem to park a block over that was not metered. I didn’t cook, but there were plenty of cutlery, plates, cups, wine glasses etc. if you plan on cooking, bring your own condiments, I only saw salt and pepper in the cupboard. Lovely Cheese Cellar Loft
At first, I was a little put off. The entrance was in an alley that had a couple of dumpsters. But as soon as we entered, climbed the stairs and entered the living/dining room, The the room was very spacious and inviting. It was the perfect room to wind down after a day of exploring all of Paso Robles proper and the surrounding vineyards. The kitchen was well appropriated, clean and cute. In the morning, the cheese shop below would bake their daily baguettes and the smell was fantastic. I was afraid the street noise woud be a problem, but Paso Robles closes up early so that was not an issue. Everything was more than adequate. The touch screen located in the room indicated was Paso Robles and surrounding areas had to offer. I didn't really understand the parking situation but it was very easy to contact the management. Lovely loft!
We had a great time staying in the cheese cellars loft. It was literally right in downtown and steps away from everything. The bed was so comfortable and the loft size was huge. The kitchen was large, a little weird with the bathroom in the kitchen but it was fine. The only complaint is that we heard rats or raccoons? On the roof scurrying around in the middle of the night and the loft would often smell like food from the cafe downstairs. But the food smelled wonderful anyway! Weekend Getaway
The loft is great! It was within walking distance to wonderful restaurants, coffee shops and wine tasting rooms. The place was super clean and had that homey feel to it. I wish there was an iron and maybe some pens and paper but those are small things. Hearing the pigeons on the roof were a bit unnerving, until we realized what they were. Spent 3 nights above the Cheese Store and Bistro in March. Great location for shopping, restaurants and drinks. No problem with on-street parking. Apartment was comfortable and well equipped. Bistro had live music on Saturday night so some additional noise but not a problem. Pigeons on roof are annoying but you get used to them. I have been to Paso many times but this was my first experience at Cheese Cellars Loft. This has to be one of the most centrally located places to stay in Paso Robles. It is right above a gourmet cheese shop and an amazing sandwich spot in the heart of downtown Paso. Very large living area and a large comfortable bed. Paso Robles Vacation Rentals made check-in/check-out super easy as well. There is an electronic door code for easy access so I was able to go straight to the loft upon arrival. We had a wonderful stay! There was music in the park going on Thursday nights at the main square/park. Wish we had gotten there early enough to enjoy it. Lots of wonderful restaurants within walking distance! Fairly quiet unit and very clean. We never heard pigeons. We did hear a train on Thursday night at 10pm but never during the weekend. Very spacious unit. Plenty of room for our family of four:) Parking was pretty easy for being in a downtown location. We had a great time staying at this property and enjoyed the convenient location. The property management company was very responsive and accessible and the apartment was clean upon our arrival. It would be nice to have some additional lighting in the living room as currently the only lighting was very bright overhead lighting, not ideal for a relaxing evening in. Although there is no designated parking, we never had a problem finding close parking. The place is above the cheese shop, so it does smell like cheese. Stayed the weekend, Saturday and Sunday night. Location was great for going out in downtown, but the noise was almost unbearable. Someone was slamming cheese wheels on tables from 10:30 PM to midnight Sunday and then again from 3:00 to 4:30 AM on Sunday, sleeping was impossible!!! We are sorry to hear that your stay was disturbed by noise, other than the expected sounds of a condo located in our charming downtown. The cheese shop below the condo is only open from 10-5, with no workers on site other than during these hours. Again, we're truly sorry your sleep was disturbed, but the cheese shop was not part of the noisy scenery during the late night/early morning hours. The location was outstanding and the size of the rental was great.
We had a minor plumbing issue and the maintenance staff was onsite within 15 minutes after we reported the problem.
Only complaint is that there is a food/cooking odor at the entrance way.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cheese Cellar's Loft. Breakfast downstairs was delicious and wish we had eaten there both mornings. The noise from below does sound like they are right in the doorway below but they don't start until around 8:00 am so not a problem as far as waking us up. Nice big couch & nice table making hanging in the living room area comfortable. Kind of weird that you have to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom, but I guess that was how it was built, bring a nightlight if you get up in the night. Kitchen has plenty of your basics that you may need, we didn't cook so not sure about pots & pans availability for actual cooking. Shower is in desperate need of updating. Bed was very "bouncy" every time one of us rolled over making for a wakeful sleep and the room is plenty big to handle a king so hopefully when replacing the bed eventually they will get a better quality mattress and go for a King size. Cannot attest to comfort of couch bed as it wasn't used. A full length mirror would be a nice addition. Overall however, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The Cheese Cellar's Loft was the perfect spot for our family. The town is gorgeous, the nearby food is delicious, what can I say? It was a great experience. The amenities nearby are easy to access and everything that you may need on your trip is (cooking wise) is available in side the cellar.The great experience didn't stop when the trip ended either. Great location! We walked all over downtown and shopped, tasted wines, and enjoyed local flavors. The Cheese Cellar Loft provided a pleasant homey feel when we came back to town after winetasting. PERFECT Downtown Location
The furniture and finishes were mismatched and funky, but I can say that everything was VERY clean! And the location can't be beat! We didn't use the car all weekend, were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go downtown. The only down side was the 6:30am Saturday garbage pickup, right outside the window. Not the wakeup we had planned but the central location more than made up for it. Sat & Sun morning also brought some noise from the restaurant kitchen right downstairs. Not much can be done about that, just don't expect to peacefully sleep in at this loft. - Amy M., San Jose, CA
