Excellent experience

Everything well kept and well stocked. BBQ area hedges need trimming to get to BBQ but we made it work. We were able watch tv ok. No instructions on how to use all tv remotes. Overall I would definitely return. We had a group of 6. Pool and location beautiful. - Anonymous, Corona, CA

Great House

We’ve rented houses in Paso Robles several times. This was in the top two.

The house was very clean, with a well equipped kitchen. The main bedroom and master bath were huge, with a large walk-in closet. The other two bedrooms were large, with a shared bathroom. The fourth bedroom had a bunk bed with a double bed in the lower position. To leave the master bedroom you had to either walk outside or through this bedroom.

Our daughter, her husband one teenager and two dogs were with us for four days (Our son and his family were supposed to join us, but Covid intervened). There was plenty of room for the five of us and it would have been fine if all eight and a third dog had been there.

The house is surrounded by a vineyard and pistachio trees, was gated and very quiet. We cooked all meals in the kitchen, but there was also a grill and large table in the patio that would be nice to use.

We would certainly return to this house for a stay with the entire family.

Eight adults could comfortably stay here so long as one couple were willing to sleep on the double bed on the lower part of the bunk bed.

Amazing weekend!

What an amazing time this place created for my family. We all hadn’t seen each other in quite a while so having this space to come together was perfect. Being surround by vineyards, along with olive and pistachio trees gave us peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The house was spacious and historic, the rooms were well kept and there is more room than you need for a large gathering. Highly recommend! - Anonymous, Aurora, CO

Girls Paso Weekend

The Buena Vista Farm house was a perfect choice. The house was clean & cozy, the perfect place to relax and host 8 girl friends. We had an amazing weekend. The fact that Le Vigne winery was walking distance made the house even more special. The outside sitting areas were stunning. It was a beautiful Paso spring weekend. We definitely would return to Buena Vista Farm. - Danielle G., Pasadena, ca

A Paso Robles MUST!

My husband surprised me by renting this wonderful home for my 60th BD. We had 4 adults, one 6 year old child, and our family pet with us. This was a wonderful getaway and had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun time with our family and friends (2 other adults came over daily but stayed elsewhere). It was secluded yet very close to everything that Paso Robles has to offer! We enjoyed the heated pool everyday and cooked some wonderful meals in the well-equipped kitchen and BBQ. Best part was our walks on the private vineyard grounds. Felt like I was in Tuscany! - Anonymous, Huntington Beach, CA

Great Spot for a Birthday

We had a lovely time at the Buena Vista Farm! We were celebrating my 50th birthday and had a small group staying at the house with a few more that came over for dinner. The only small hiccup in our stay, it does not comfortably sleep 9 adults. The bunk bed is a little awkward. We had a family of 3 adults that used that room but we didn't realize it would be that cramped. I would say it sleeps 7 adults easily, 8 adults if they are open to bunk beds, and 9 adults in a more cramped situation. Fortunately, we had a lot of good wine so they prepared for bedtime with a little extra haha

The home is well appointed - plenty of glassware, plates, silverware, etc. Plenty of towels! Plenty of parking, and a lovely outdoor space with a huge dining table, and a fenced area for the dogs, although be mindful if you have an escape artist as the wall was enough to keep our dogs contained but was low so a dog that will hurdle fences would have no problem escaping. No bugs either, so we were able to leave the doors open while we were home. We lucked out that the weather was super mild, so only a few of us enjoyed the pool but it would have been AMAZING if Paso was having a heat wave.

Paso Robles Vacation Rentals was also super helpful, professional, and sweet. I highly recommend checking them for other options if this spot is unavailable for your dates, you prefer to be closer to town, or you have fewer guests. - Ananda Y., Mammoth Lakes, CA

Cool Place with a few Caveats

Such a cool location. Wish I knew a few things going in, so I thought I'd pass our hard earned knowledge on to others. Floor height differences between rooms of approx. 2 inches. Probably not appropriate for shuffling seniors. Marked with bright orange tape but we were all tripping and catching ourselves anyway. No central heating or air conditioning in original building structure. We arrived on a very cold day. Plug in radiators kept flipping the fuses. We absolutely couldn't find all the panels to re-set the switch. We spent the first night with 2 bedrooms lacking electricity and therefore unbearably cold. Sam, the Vacation Rental Rep. was trying to be helpful but didn't know where all the panels were. She went out of her way to bring us extra blankets as most beds had 1 coverlet and 1 sheet and no extra supplies in house. Thank you, Sam! For the record, the panels are located: 1) in the kitchen where the defunct, non-functioning heater unit closet is, 2) outside adjacent to the Master Bedroom addition, and 3) --the tricky one!-- inside the closet of the pass through bedroom. Step inside the first closet turn around, it's a small panel with only 3 switches. That's the one that wants to overload. Also, if you arrive on a cold day, be patient with radiators. We plugged in at 3pm, finally started to get a little warm by midnight--then we lost power in 2 rooms. Kitchen not stocked with serve ware. Not a deal breaker, but you're not putting on a spread. Also, no small measuring cups. No basic supplies when we arrived--like paper towels. Also, don't use the back center stovetop. It'll also overload the panel. A pleasant surprise, the "queen" bed is a Cal King bed. I just seems small in comparison to the colossal master bedroom. My previous reference to "pass through" bedroom is the bunkbed room. In order to access the master bedroom, you must pass through this bunkbed room. The master bedroom is ridiculously grandiose w/central heat! - Nancy Lee G., Santa Rosa, CA

Response from Paso Robles Vacation Rentals®

Hi Nancy, We're so sorry you got caught in the breakdown of the furnace at Buena Vista Farm! It has since been replaced with full central air and new furnace for future guests. I'm glad we were able to connect after your stay with an appropriate apology. We've added to all supplies at the house and hope you will give us the opportunity for renewed hospitality with the upgrades at Buena Vista Farm! Thanks, Beth, Paso Robles Vacation Rentals.

Rustic ranch house

It’s a rustic ranch house with somewhat unusual room layouts and decorations. Overall we all enjoyed it. It does need a door sweep on the front door and spraying to eliminate the regular visit by non-threatening bugs. - John H., Lauderdale By The Sea, Florida

Buena Vista Farm In July for Mid-State Fair

The Buena Vista Farm is a perfect place to stay if you're in town for Paso's Mid-State Fair. The location is close to the fairgrounds, close to downtown, and very close to great wineries along the 46 East. The back patio with the pool is the highlight of the property. It's a perfect place to hang out after wine tasting. The home is spacious and it's perfect for our party size of 8. Would definitely consider staying at the Buena Vista Farm again. Also, a big thank you to PR Vacation Rentals. They were very responsive to a plumbing issue as soon as we reported it. - Anonymous, Hermosa Beach, CA

Great family reunion

This turned out to a perfect spot for our family reunion (9 people and a dog) with folks coming from SF and LA. The place looks as good as the pictures. We walked to a couple of nearby vineries for some pretty intimate tasting experiences and took a morning morning run among the vineyard, apple and pomegranate trees. The pool was clean and refreshing on a hot afternoon. It was a perfect weekend. - Dmitry D., San Francisco, CA

Outdated but a great location!

This house was perfect for our large friend group. It was located in a great location near wineries and breweries. Overall we we loved the property. If i had one complaint it would be that the house and the furniture is a little outdated. Some of the dishes were dirty. The host did provided a fresh sponge and dish-soap so I just made sure to re-wash all the dishes we used. - Anonymous, Los Angeles,

Perfect for My 46th Birthday

Overall, the rental provided a great location to both relax, and participate in nearby activities special to the Paso Robles region. Having a winery within walking distance is a real bonus, and for us--a group of adults from our late-30s to mid-40s, it was the perfect combination of privacy and proximity to activities. The large outdoor dining table was fantastic for group meals, as were the vineyards and pistachio trees around the property. We could take lovely sunset "wine walks" before and after dipping in the pool and grilling. My two primary complaints are: 1) the kitchen itself could be better equipped with pots and pans and plasticware, especially cups for the pool and 2) the internet wasn't functioning for nearly a full day while we were there. We were on vacation so the internet thing wasn't a HUGE deal, though a few of us needed to send some work documents via email very briefly and it posed an inconvenience. We also had arranged for a slightly later checkout (by 30 minutes) but that wasn't communicated to the cleaning team, or noted in the reservation, so we even though we were actually leaving earlier than our pre-arranged departure time at 11:30 (we were all set to go by 11:20), we were briefly admonished before clearing it up. That said--we will 100% come back here, and were overall VERY impressed by the ease and level of communication with the property management company. We look forward to our next stay! - Karen T., Los Angeles, CA

Great summer vacation

The place and surrounding vineyard/farm were great. Very tranquil and a great escape from the city during these weird times. The house was great and the pool really helped during the hot days. The kids loved it. Outdoor areas: pool/dining are perfect for spending summer days and evenings. The only suggestion is for such a large house that houses that many people (9), maybe have a little more utensils (mainly forks and spoons) otherwise we had to do some juggling for serving dishes and eating. - Anonymous, Beverly hills, CA

Beautiful location & relaxing escape

We had a wonderful vacation at Buena Vista Farm, providing a new "quarantine" location for us for a few days. The location was perfect for our desired quiet escape. The views of vineyards and rolling hills was beautiful, and the sunsets were amazing. We spent most of our time in the outdoor area. My kids loved the pool! The house itself is a little dated with eccentric decor, but it has tons of space and was comfortable. Booking and check-in/check-out were very easy with their website and app. - Julia B., Santa Clara, CA

Paso Vineyard Rental

We were surprised how dirty the house was. The furniture was dusty, and nit just everyday dust, thick that you could see when the sunlight shine. The showers were extremely slimey and the master room and room with bunks had no heat. There is a rodent in the master ceiling that would tap dance and chew on something in the middle of the night. For the price, I would never rent this property again. Extremely disappointed. I’m sorry that I have to write this poor review but I think it would be helpful for the cleaning crew so they can improve their work - Alexandra T., Los Angeles, CA

Lovely Paso Location

We had a great time at this rental. The location is fabulous and the pool was really nice and refreshing. The decor is...interesting;) The master suite feels like a very fancy palace. A lot of marble statues, gilded gold chandeliers, ornate furniture. The seat warmer on the toilet was a big hit. There are horses, vineyards and pistachio trees surrounding the property, and you can walk to a nearby winery. The rental management company was very communicative. - Anonymous, Pacifica, CA

Hidden gem in wine country

Our group had such a wonderful weekend stay at Buena Vista Farm. The view was unbeatable with the property being on a vineyard and a pistachio orchard with an open landscape and rolling hills in the distance. We spent the days hanging out at the pool and on the deck at sunset, taking a walk among the grape vines, and just relaxing and enjoying the occasional breeze. When we managed to get ourselves up and out of the house to do some wineries tour, we found that the options were endless. There were many places within a ten minute drive. If we had more time, we would definitely visit the waterpark as well as explore the several hiking trails nearby.

The house itself was beautiful. The design carried a Spanish style with large wooden beams, white stucco exterior and terra cotta roof tiles. It was spacious and perfect for a weekend getaway for a large group (like our group). We were impressed with ease of checking in and out and the attentiveness of the management company. It was definitely one of the better experiences we had with a rental. - Tuan D., Los Angeles, CA
