Named for the elderberry plant and dressed in its deep blues and soft, tonal greys, Elderberry Room is a studio with more breathing room than most. At 400 square feet with high ceilings, it feels open and unhurried, a calm place to land after a day out in Paso Robles wine country.
The kitchen sits right at the entry, with plenty of counter space, a Keurig single-pod coffee maker, an LG microwave, and a garbage disposal. Beyond it there's a small dining area for morning coffee or takeout from downtown, and a TV area with a TCL smart TV for easy nights in. A pair of armchairs makes a cozy corner for reading or planning tomorrow.
The sleeping area is tucked at the far end of the room, where a Super King bed sits against a botanical accent wall. The bathroom is generously sized, with a walk-in shower and single sink, and an iron and ironing board are on hand for anything that needs a quick press.
The location makes Paso easy. Downtown City Park is about a 10-minute walk, with its shaded lawns, gazebo, and the shops, restaurants, and galleries that ring the square, including Studios on the Park. The Paso Robles Event Center, home of the California Mid-State Fair each summer, is a similarly short walk. River Oaks Hot Springs is a quick drive for a mineral soak, and Sensorio's field of lights and the Estrella Warbird Museum are both about 10 minutes away by car. When you want the ocean, the Central Coast is within an hour.
